Base Metal: Lead futures drop 0.11% today

Lead futures were trading low in the domestic market during the morning trade on Friday as investors & speculators trimmed their bets in the industrial metal amid drop in physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

At the MCX, for November 2016 contract lead futures is trading at Rs 142.60 per kg, downward by 0.11 %, after opening at Rs 143.40, against a last close of Rs 142.75. It touched the intra-day lower of Rs 142.40.

Commodity Updates and Tips for 8 July 2015

Commodity Updates : Copper futures slid more than 2 per cent in the domestic market on Tuesday as investors and speculators exited positions in the industrial metal as a worsening stock market rout in China, the world’s biggest metals consumer, cast a gloom on the region’s economy, signaling lower demand for industrial commodities, while the fallout of Greece’s deepening troubles threatened to spread far and wide in other European markets, threatening to slow growth in the entire Euro area. Greece has now being given time until Sunday to come up with a concrete plan to satisfy the country’s creditors and win new bailout aid or face an exit from the single currency union. Copper futures may ink a slight rebound today as a strengthening US economic recovery with job openings surging to record high in May bolster demand outlook. At the MCX, Copper futures for August 2015 contract closed at Rs 348.25 per 1 kg, down by 2.53 per cent after opening at Rs 357.20, against the last ending price of Rs 357.30. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 338.80.

Commodity Updates : Mustard Seed prices closed lower by 1.35 %

Commodity Updates : Mustard Seed prices closed lower by 1.35 per cent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the profit booking by the traders on account of the weak crushing and export demand of mustard meal. At the NCDEX, Mustard Seed futures for July 2015 contract closed at Rs. 4,174 per quintal, down by 1.35 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4,237 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,231. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 4,151.


Barley prices closed lower by 0.82 per cent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as the investors booked profits at the higher on account of the weak physical markets and also due to the fall in the demand from beer and cattle-feed makers. At the NCDEX, barley futures for July 2015 contract closed at Rs. 1,208.5 per quintal, down by 0.82 per cent, after opening at Rs. 1,217 against the previous closing price of Rs. 1,218.5. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 1,206.

Mcx Commodity Tips and Updates for 15 June 2015

Copper futures closed with impressive gains in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the industrial metal as a rebound in Euro area industrial output in April signaled a fastening recovery in the 19-member economy, lifting the demand outlook for copper. Euro area industrial production climbed by 0.1 per cent in April 2015 from the previous month, when it fell 0.4 %. However, uncertainty over the demand outlook in China, the world’s biggest metals consumer, coupled with ballooning stockpiles which have surged 92 per cent in the past year held back gains. On Thursday, copper stockpiles monitored by the London Metal Exchange (LME) soared by the most since March or by 3.1 per cent. Copper may extend an advance today as upbeat US consumer sentiment data signaled a recovery in the American economy, boding well for industrial metal demand.

At the MCX, Copper futures for June 2015 contract closed at Rs 380.70 per 1 kg, up by 0.48 per cent after opening at Rs 378.75, against the last closing price of Rs 378.90. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 380.95 till the closing.

Base Metals & Energy Updates for 10 June 2015

Copper prices rose by 0.17 per cent on Tuesday after disappointing Chinese inflation data added to speculation policymakers will have to introduce further stimulus measures to jumpstart the economy amid lackluster growth. Government data released earlier showed that Chinese inflation for May rose 1.2 per cent, below expectations for 1.3 per cent and down from 1.5 per cent in April. Disappointing trade data released on Monday indicated a recovery in the broader economy remains fragile and may need further government stimulus. At the MCX, copper futures for June 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 384.20 per 1 kg, up by 0.17 per cent, after opening at Rs. 384.20 against the previous closing price of Rs. 383.55. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 385.70 till the trading.

Zinc futures edged up 0.80 per cent to Rs 138.40 per kg today after speculators built up bets on the back of rising demand in the domestic spot market amid a firming trend overseas. Zinc futures for June 2015 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 138.40 per kg, up by 0.80 per cent after opening at Rs. 137.45 against the previous closing price of Rs. 137.30. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 138.80 till the trading.

शेयर बाजार की गिरावट पर लगा ब्रेक, सेंसेक्स 50 अंक चढ़ा

सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी में दो दिन से जारी गिरावट पर ब्रेक लग गया है। आज के कारोबार में मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में खरीददारी का माहौल बना हुआ है। हालांकि बैंक, ऑटो और रियल्टी इंडेक्स दो फीसदी तक टूट गए है। बैंक निफ्टी 0.50 फीसदी गिरकर 17,635 के स्तर पर है। जबकि मीडिया इंडेक्स आधा फीसदी बढ़कर 2,082 पर है।

बाजार में कारोबार के इस दौरान गेल, एक्सिस बैंक, इंफोसिस, डॉ रेड्डीज, जी एंटरटेनमेंट, सिप्ला और वेदांता जैसे दिग्गज शेयरों में 1.5-1.1 फीसदी की मजबूती आई है। हालांकि टाटा मोटर्स, एनएमडीसी, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक, एचसीएल टेक, हीरो मोटो, सन फार्मा और एचयूएल जैसे दिग्गज शेयरों में 1.8-0.5 फीसदी की गिरावट दर्ज की गई है।

इन शेयरों में खबरों के चलते तेज हलचल

एक्सिस बैंक: आरबीआई ने एफआईआई निवेश की बैन लिस्ट से बाहर किया। साथ ही बैंक ने डिपॉजिट रेट 0.10-0.20% तक घटाया, नई दरें 9 जून से लागू होंगी।

वेदांता लिमिटेड: सब्सिडियरी केर्न इंडिया में 4.98 हिस्सेदारी 31.5 करोड़ डॉलर में खरीदी है।

इंफोसिस: कंपनी के सीईओ ने एनालिस्ट में कहा कि इस साल आय में 10-12 फीसदी की ग्रोथ रहने की उम्मीद है। साथ ही हाल में कंपनी 5 करोड़ डॉलर की 6 बड़ी डील मिली है।

रिलायंस कैपिटल: गुजरात इंटरनेशनल फाइनेंस टेक (गिफ्ट) सिटी ने बुधवार को रिलायंस कैपिटल लिमिटेड को स्‍पेशल इकोनॉमिक जोन के इंटरनेशनल फाइनेंस सर्विस सेंटर में 5 लाख वर्ग फुट जमीन का आवंटन किया है। गिफ्ट सिटी में ऑफि‍स स्‍पेस और रेसीडेंसियल प्रोजेक्‍ट के निर्माण पर रिलायंस कैपिटल अगले तीन सालों के दौरान 200 करोड़ रुपए का निवेश करेगी। इसके लिए रिलायंस कैपिटल ने बुधवार को एक समझौता पत्र पर हस्‍ताक्षर भी किए हैं।

जेपी एसोसिएट्स, जेपी इंफ्रा, जेपी पावर: जेपी ग्रुप ने बुधवार को कहा कि उसने 22,000 करोड़ रुपए मूल्‍य की संपत्तियों की बिक्री प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। यह प्रक्रिया इस साल सितंबर तक पूरी हो जाएगी। इस खबर के बाद फ्लैगशिप कंपनी जयप्रकाश एसोसिएट्स के शेयर 20 फीसदी तक टूट गए थे। कंपनी ने बयान जारी कर कहा है कि जेपी ग्रुप ने 22,000 करोड़ रुपए से अधिक मूल्‍य की संपत्तियों को बेचने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है और यह प्रक्रिया सितंबर 2015 तक पूरी कर ली जाएगी।कंपनी ने आरोप लगाया है कि कुछ लोग गलत खबरों के जरिये ग्रुप की विश्‍वसनीयता को ठेस पहुंचा रहे हैं, ऐसी खबरें आ रही हैं कि कंपनी लोन डिफॉल्‍टर हो गई है। कंपनी ने कहा है कि वह इन सभी खबरों का खंडन करती है और अपने सभी शेयरधारकों से बिना डरे इन पर विश्‍वास न करने का आग्रह करती है।

जेके टायर: जेके टायर एंड इंडस्‍ट्रीज ने बुधवार को इंडिया ऑपरेशन के लिए विवेक कामरा को प्रेसीडेंट नियुक्‍त करने की घोषणा की है। कामरा की यह नियुक्ति अरुण के बाजोरिया के स्‍थान पर की गई है। बाजोरिया को इंटरनेशनल ऑपरेशन का डायरेक्‍टर और प्रेसीडेंट बनाया गया है।

Base Metals & Energy Updates For 18 May 2015

ZINC

Zinc futures tumbled in the domestic market on Thursday, shedding more than 2.4 per cent, as investors and speculators sold off positions in the industrial metal amid tepid physical demand for zinc in the domestic spot market. Moreover, fears that a deepening economic slowdown in China, the world’s biggest consumer of the base metal, may curb zinc demand also spooked investors. New yuan loans issued by Chinese banks and financial institutions stood at 707.9 billion yuan in April, trailing analysts’ estimates of 903 billion yuan, underscoring weakness in the world’s second biggest economy. Other April indicators were also poor as manufacturing shrank at the fastest pace in a year in April while exports and import tumbled, and growth in industrial output, fixed-asset investment, and retail sales numbers missed analysts’ estimates. At the MCX, Zinc futures for May 2015 contract closed at Rs 146.55 per 1 kg, down by 2.43 per cent after opening at Rs 149.85, against the previous closing price of Rs 150.20. It touched the intra-day low of Rs 146.30 till the closing.

NATURAL GAS

Natural Gas futures extended an advance in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators weighed a below than expected US stockpile-build last week, signaling a pickup in demand for the fuel which is used to fire up power plants as cooling demand rises during peak summer months. US gas stockpiles climbed by 111 billion cubic feet to 1.897 trillion cubic feet in the week ended May 8, 2015, compared to an estimated rise of 116 billion cubic feet by analysts. Further, forecasts for warmer than average weather in the US in the coming days also bolstered the demand outlook for the weather-sensitive fuel. At the MCX, Natural Gas futures for May 2015 contract is trading at Rs 191.10 per 1 kg, up by 0.26 per cent after opening at Rs 191.20, against the previous closing price of Rs 190.60. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 191.50. (At 13:01 PM).

NATURAL GAS
Natural Gas futures surged in the domestic market on Wednesday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the energy commodity as forecasts for a cold snap in the US in the coming days bolstered the demand outlook for the heating fuel. Latest weather forecasts showed frigid weather spanning from the Great Lakes-region to the Northeast through February 26, 2015. At the MCX, Natural Gas futures for February 2015 contract closed at Rs 174.30 per 1 kg, up by 3 per cent after opening at Rs 170.7, against the previous closing price of Rs 169.2. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 176.50 till the closing.

LEAD
Lead prices weakened by 0.22 per cent to Rs 112.85 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions driven by subdued demand in the spot market. However, the metal's strength at the London Metal Exchange, cushioned the fall. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in March shed 25 paise, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 112.85 per kg in a business turnover of two lots. Likewise, the metal for delivery in February traded lower by 15 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 111.70 per kg in 139 lots. Market analysts said a weak trend at domestic spot markets on subdued demand from battery makers mainly led to a fall in lead prices at futures trade here.

Mcx commodity tips: Castorseed prices rose by 0.43 % 22 May 2015

Mcx commodity tips: Castorseed prices rose by 0.43 per cent on Friday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of the rise in demand from consuming industries against restricted arrivals in domestic markets which in turn encouraged the investors to enlarge their holdings. At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for June 2015 contract were trading at Rs. 3,926 per quintal tonnes, up by 0.43 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,919 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,909. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 3,939 till the trading.

Guar seed futures ended marginally down while guar gum settled up a tad on National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) Saturday. Guar seed February contract shed Rs nine at Rs 2,826 a quintal and traded in the range of Rs 2,850 and Rs 2,815 a quintal. Volume for the contract was 29,080 tons while the open interest was 23,830 lots. Guar gum February contract ended at Rs 8,082 a quintal, up Rs six and fluctuated in the range of Rs 8,148- 7,991 a quintal. Volumes of the contract stood at 2,605 tons with open interest of 4,115 tons. On February 11th, demat stock of guar seed at NCDEX-monitored warehouses was 93,401 tons with 1,433 tons in processing while demat stock of guar gum was 20,769 tons with 1,448 tons in processing.

Mcx commodity tips: Zinc futures were trading higher in the domestic market on Friday as investors and speculators booked fresh positions in the industrial metal amid a pickup in physical demand for zinc in the domestic spot market. Further, a leading index for China signaled a pickup in growth in the world’s second biggest economy, lifting the demand outlook for zinc. The China leading index climbed 1.1 per cent in April from March, when it rose 0.5 per cent. At the MCX, Zinc futures for May 2015 contract is trading at Rs 139.85 per 1 kg, up by 0.11 per cent after opening at Rs 140.10, against the previous closing price of Rs 139.70. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 140.65.
