Lead futures slide on drop in demand today

On Wednesday Lead futures were trading low in the morning trade in the domestic market as investors & speculators remained on the sidelines in the industrial metal amidst muted physical demand for lead, from battery-makers, in the domestic spot market.

Further, slow physical demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, influenced rates of lead at futures trade. 

At the MCX, for November 2016 contract lead futures is trading at Rs 137.35 per kg, downward by 0.47 %, after opening at Rs 137.40, against a last close of Rs 138. It touched the intra-day lower of Rs 137.
