Mentha oil
futures were trading high during the morning trade in the domestic market on
Tuesday as participants build up new positions in the agri-commodity amid spot
physical demand for mentha oil from major consuming industries in the domestic
spot market.
Moreover, building up of
fresh positions by traders in the spot market due to a rise in demand for
mentha oil from consuming industries at the domestic spot market against
insufficient stocks position on restricted supplies from growing divisions,
supported mentha oil prices at futures trade.
At the MCX, mentha oil
futures for October 2016 contract were trading at Rs 881.80 per kg, up by 0.87 %
after opening at Rs 881.90, against the last closing price of Rs 874.20. It
touched the intra-day higher of Rs 886.20.
