Stocks of Roads and highways sector have been witnessing a dream run in an otherwise lackluster market, with some of them earning up to 80 per-cent so far current year.
Powerfull support of govt. to the stalled projects, deferment of premium payment to the government, relaxation of the exit clause for investors & observers and modification of the model concession agreement (MCA) have improved the overview for the highways & roads developers.
This stocks have also witnessed increased interest from FIIs. Data with NSDL showed FII exposure to the roads and highways sector has climbed to Rs 2,902 cr of Oct 15 from Rs 2,622 cr at the end of 2014.
