ALUMINIUM
Aluminium prices today rose by 0.38 per cent to Rs 104.85 per kg in futures trade as speculators enlarged positions amid a firming trend overseas.
Besides, increased demand at domestic spot markets also influenced prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May rose by 40 paise, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 104.85 per kg in business turnover of 390 lots.
The metal for delivery in June rose by a similar margin to Rs 106.40 per kg in 15 lots.
CRUDE OIL
Crude oil futures prices rose by 0.40 per cent to Rs 6,032 per barrel today as speculators enlarged positions, tracking a firm trend in Asia.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in May gained Rs 24, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 6,032 per barrel, in a business turnover of 2,853 lots.
The oil for the June delivery moved up by Rs 21, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 6,022 per barrel, with a business volume of 227 lots.
