Copper prices rose marginally to Rs 408.35 per kg in futures trade today in line with a firming trend in spot markets on increased domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June traded higher by 65 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 408.35 per kg in business turnover of 188 lots.
The metal for delivery in August edged up by 60 paise, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 404.80 per kg in 4,926 lots.
ZINC
Zinc futures prices today edged higher to Rs 121.95 per kg amid a positive global trend and better domestic demand, as speculators created positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in April up by 20 paise, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 121.95 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,011 lots.
The metal for delivery in May also rose by 5 paise, or 0.05 per cent, to Rs 122.70 per kg, with a
business turnover of five lots.
