Gold futures prices today fell by 1.19 per cent to Rs 32,598 per 10 grams as speculators offloaded their positions, taking weak cues from the global market.
Besides, subdued spot demand and profit-booking by speculators also put pressure on gold futures.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold prices for delivery in October fell by Rs 390, or 1.19 per cent, to Rs 32,598 per 10 grams in business turnover of 525 lots.
Similarly, metal prices for delivery in the far-month December declined by Rs 370, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 32,685 per 10 grams in 86 lots.
Silver prices drifted by 0.27 per cent to trade at Rs 55,110 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in reducing exposures.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December traded Rs 150, or 0.27 per cent lower at Rs 55,110 per kg in business turnover of 1,860 lots.
In a similar fashion, the white metal for delivery in September fell by Rs 102, or 0.19 per cent lower, at Rs 53,110 per kg in 1,869 lots.

Buoyed by a firm global trend and increased domestic demand, copper prices rose 0.35 per cent to Rs 488.65 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November traded higher by Rs 1.90, or 0.35 per cent, to Rs 488.65 per kg in business turnover of 2,327 lots.
The metal for delivery in far-month February edged up by Rs 1.60, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 495.30 per kg in 56 lots.
Crude oil futures prices today dipped 2.93 per cent to Rs 7,034 per barrel, as speculators trimmed positions at prevailing levels amid a weakening trend in Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in September fell by Rs 212, or 2.93 per cent, to Rs 7,034 per barrel in 5,843 lots.
In a likewise manner, oil for delivery in October moved down by Rs 202, or 2.78 per cent, to Rs 7,267 per barrel in 436 lots.

Turmeric prices fell further by 0.75 per cent to Rs 5,024 per quintal in futures trade today after participants trimmed positions amid higher stocks but export demand limited the fall.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in September
declined by Rs 38, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 5,024 per quintal in an open interest of 15,405 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in October edged lower by Rs 34, or 0.66 per cent, to Rs 5,112 per
quintal in 10,780 lots.
Jeera prices fell by another 0.16 per cent to Rs 13,747.50 per quintal in futures market today as
speculators indulged in reducing exposures amid expectations of higher sowing in producing region.
However, some export demand limited the downside. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in October fell Rs 22.50, or 0.16 per cent to Rs 13,747.50 per quintal with an open interest of 5,394 lots.

In a similar fashion, the spice for delivery in September lost Rs 20, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 13,595
per quintal with an open interest of 8,667 lots. It had lost 0.05 per cent in yesterday's session.
