MCX-NCDEX Commodity Trading Tips>>MCX base metals end on a mix note

Base metals ended on a mixed mode with mild change towards the end of Multi Commodity Exchange Saturday session. Nickel and copper futures that dipped sharply Friday recovered with marginal gains during the intra-day. Volumes remained thin on weekend. 

Aluminium March contract ended at Rs 114.45 per kg, up Re 0.05 and moved in the range of Rs 114.50- 114.00 per kg. Total volume recorded 136 lots.

Copper April futures settled at Rs 423.45 per kg, up Rs 1.40. It traded in the range of Rs 424.50- 422.70 per kg. Total volume so far recorded 4,150 lots.

Lead March closed at Rs 111.30 per kg, down Re 0.35 and traded between Rs 111.90- 111.30 per kg. Total volumes recorded 408 lots.

Nickel March contract ended at Rs 1,180.80 per kg, up Re 0.40 and traded between Rs 1,184.40- 1,180.30 per kg. Total volumes recorded 720 lots.

Zinc March contract closed at Rs 102.90 per kg, Re 0.05 and traded between Rs 103.30- 102.20 per kg. Total volume recorded so far 655 lots. 

MCX crude oil March contract ended at Rs 4,543 [-16.00] a barrel. Far month contracts April and May contracts settled at Rs 4,625 [-18.00] and at Rs 4,686 [-16.00] a barrel respectively.
