Commodity News & Tips - Base metals subdue on weak global cues

Base metals traded bearish with marginal losses during the early hours of trading on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) Monday ahead of expiry. Global cues remained weak that exerted pressure on prices. 

Aluminium February contract traded at Rs 114.75, down Re 0.10 at 10:24 am IST and opened the session at Rs 115.05 per kg. It moved between Rs 115.30- 114.60 per kg. Total volume so far recorded at 92 lots.

Copper February contract traded at Rs 443.20 per kg, down Rs 1.90 at 10:25 am IST and traded in the range of Rs 446.00- 442.80 per kg. Total volumes so far recorded 2,390 lots.

Lead February contract currently traded at Rs 114.70/kg, down Re 0.65. The session opened at Rs 115.55 per kg and so far fluctuated in the range of Rs 115.60- 114.40 per kg. Total volumes recorded 464 lots.

Nickel February contract traded at Rs 1,276.30/kg, down Rs 4.90 and moved between Rs 1,283.70- 1,271.50 per kg. Volume so far recorded 894 lots. It had opened the session at Rs 1,283.70 per kg.

Zinc February contract traded at Rs 111.70, down Re 0.50 and traded between Rs 111.90- 111.50 per kg. Total volumes recorded 595 lots.
