The INR(rupee) is not too far away from hitting 70 to the US dollar and could slump even further to a new record by the end of the year 2016, according to reports, as world wide investors pull out funds due to emerging market unstability and worries that the govt may ease up on fiscal deficit targets to shore up growth. Share market tips & updates 17 feb, 2016

Share tips - The broader market traded in line with the benchmark indices with the BSE midcap and smallcap indices trading lower by 0.61 and 0.32 per cent, respectively.

Today, the rupee dropped 18 paise to hit its lowest level to 68.56 against the USDr since Sep 4, 2014, in early trade amid weak cues from Asian currency markets.

Yesterday, the local currency had lost 32 paisa to end near 68.38, after hitting an intraday low of 68.43 against the greenback, as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was assumed to have intervened to check the currency's fall. Click for Share tips
 
Most other Asian markets traded mixed. Japan's Nikkei traded down by 0.18 per-cent while the South Korean Kospi was trading with mild gains. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index went up 0.16 per cent. China's CSI300 index was up by 0.25 per-cent.

Today rupee drops by 7 paisa 11 Feb, 2016

The dollar index, which tracks the movement of dollar compared to a basket of six major currencies of world, fell 0.14 per-cent to 95.75.

US Dollar was seen weakening even against major Asian currencies. The Indonesian rupiah went high by 0.71 per cent, Yen of japan moved up 0.61 per-cent and the Malaysian ringgit improved 0.50 per-cent. The Thai baht, the Korean won and the Philippine peso ahead 0.8 per cent, 0.25 per-cent and 0.15 per-cent. But the INR(rupee) did not follow Asian cues. The local currency has been the worst-performing major Asian currency so far current year. It has fallen 2.5 per-cent against the greenback year-to-date, in comparison with the 3.14 per-cent increase in the Indonesian rupiah. Indonesia runs high fiscal deficit like India.

Commodity tips, Indian Rupee unlocked higher by 3 paise

Most other Asian markets traded mixed. Japan's Nikkei surged over 2 per-cent in trade while South Korean Kospi was up 0.22 per-cent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index traded lower by a per-cent. Mainland China's CSI 300 index was down 1.5 per-cent after January manufacturing PMI data showed weakness for sixth month continuously.

Rupee down by 13 paise against USD at 67.96 27 Jan


Indian currency : Today, the INR(rupee) depreciated 13 paise to 67.96 against the US(United States) dollar in early trade ahead of the outcome of US Federal Reserve's two-day policy meet later in the day.

The local currency ended at 67.83 against the greenback on day before yesterday.

The currency market was closed on yesterday on account of celebrations of Republic Day. Experts & traders hopes that given the Fed policy outcome on yesterday and Bank of Japan's policy review on Friday last week, the currency may remain volatile in the extreme short term. RBI intervention will hold the key, they told.

Rupee rose 9 paise today 25 Jan, 2016


The rupee rose 9 paise to 67.53 as compared to US dollar in early trade on Monday amid positive cues from other Asian currencies.Click For Bullion tips

Domestic currency : The local currency ended with 39 paise high at 67.63 on Friday last week on fresh dollar selling by banks & exporters.

Most other Asian markets traded higher following on the rally seen in US markets on Friday last week and jump in prices of mcx crude. Japan's Nikkei was trading higher by a per-cent while the South Korean Kospi went up 0.95 per-cent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index went up by 2 per-cent. China's CSI 300 index was also trading higher by a per-cent.

Bullion tips : Rupee high 24 paise against USD as oil regained


Currency Updates : The INR(rupee) went high 24 paise to 66.78 against the US(United States) dollar in early trade on Friday Bullion Tips amid hopes that a regained in mcx crude oil prices world wide may halt outflows from emerging markets (EMs).

The rupee had closed 7 paise lower to settle at a fresh 29-month low of 68.02 on yesterday. Most Asian currencies were trading higher against the greenback. Korean won ahead 0.77 per-cent. Taiwanese dollar (up 0.46 per-cent), Malaysian ringgit (up 0.44 per-cent), Indonesian rupiah (0.27 per cent) and Thai baht (0.14 per-cent) remained some Asian currencies which rose in Friday's trade.

Hindalco, L&T, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Maruti are top most gainers in the Sensex. Among losers are Hero, Dr Reddy's, ITC, ONGC and Adani Ports.

Rupee went down by 4 paise to 66.86 7 Jan, 2016


Today, the INR(rupee) went down by 4 paise to 66.86 as compared to the US dollar in early trade on Thursday after the Chinese central bank, PBoC, set the yuan midpoint to its lowest & weakest level since March 2011.

The People's Bank of China fixed the official guidance rate 0.5 per-cent weaker than Wednesday's fix of 6.5314, which is its biggest daily fall since 2015's August month. The Chinese yuan fell down by 0.39 per-cent to 6.58 against the greenback.

Today, the S&P BSE Sensex tumbled more than 150 points in morning trade, tracking Asian markets which were trading lower after China factory activity contracted & the chinese currency yuan weakened to near a 5-year low.

The INR(rupee) fell 17 paise to 66.31 against the US(United States) dollar in early trade on today after weak Chinese manufacturing PMI readings sparked selling across Asian currencies. Native currency ended at 66.14 against the greenback on Friday previous week.

Today INR has some gains, Nifty, Sensex market opened down

Currency Update : The INR(Indian rupee) reversed its some gains seen in previous session. The currency unlocked at 66.48 per dollar on Friday, down 6 paise compared to 66.42 a dollar in preceding session. It closed at over 3-week closing high yesterday.

Today, the market has unlocked low after surging yesterday. The Sensex is down by 59.71 pts at 25744.07 and the Nifty went down 15.45 pts at 7828.90.

Around 326 shares have advanced, 223 shares went down, and 40 shares remains same. Bajaj Auto, TCS, Vedanta, M&M & Dr. Reddy's Labs are major losers while HDFC, Maruti, NTPC and Hindalco are top most gainers in the Sensex.
