Nifty updates: Sensex regroup more than 100 points

Today, Sensex overflowed by over 100 points in morning trading, led by gains in HDFC, ITC, RIL,ONGC, Infosys and Coal India.

The Nifty futures rebounded with its crucial psychological level of 7,500 supported by gains in metal, realty, oil & gas, capital goods, & auto stocks.

The broader market traded in line with the benchmark indices with the BSE midcap and BSE smallcap indices trading higher by 0.08 and 0.2%.

Nifty futures reached high of 7,479 29 Jan, 2016

The 30-share index was trading at 24,590, up by 120 pts or 0.49 per-cent. Later on, it attained a high of 24,623.56 and a low of 24,340.06 in morning trade.Click For Nifty futures tips While the Nifty-50 was at 7,467 up 42 points or 0.57 per cent. It reached a high of 7,479.00 and a low of 7,402.80 in the first 30 minutes of trade.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index went up 0.35 per-cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 0.28 per-cent high.

Sun Pharma (up 2 per-cent), M&M (up 2.3 per-cent), Coal India (up 2.1 per-cent), Gail India (up 2.1 per-cent), and ONGC (up 1.9 per-cent), were the major Sensex gainers.

ICICI Bank (down 5.2 per-cent), Maruti Suzuki (down 3.1 per-cent), Axis Bank (down 2.1 per-cent), State Bank of India (down 0.7 per-cent), and DRL (down 0.3 per-cent), were the major Sensex gainers.

Nifty futures down 10 pts, Sensex down 20 pts 18 Jan, 2016

 
Today's Nifty futures tips  : Sensex was trading near 24,434, down 20 points or 0.08 per cent. It touched a high of 24,524.85 and a low of 24,348.80 in morning trade. While the Nifty-50 was trading around 7,428 down 10 pts or 0.12 per-cent. It reached a high of 7,463.65 & a low of 7,405.80 in the first 30 mins of trading session.

The S&P BSE Midcap Index went down 1.43 per-cent & the BSE S&P Smallcap Index was trading 2.1 per-cent lower.

The major Sensex gainers were -
NTPC (up 1.2 per-cent), Coal India (up 1 per-cent), Infosys (up 0.93 per-cent), Sun Pharma (up 0.74 per cent), & the RIL (up 0.63 per cent).

Nifty closed at 7963 on 1st trading day of 2016


Equity benchmarks started off the calender 2016 positively. The Sensex went high 43.36 pts to 26160.90 while the Nifty earned 16.85 pts at 7963.20 amid thin volumes as world markets shut today.

The broader markets shifted by 0.9 per-cent. The market breadth was also strong as around 1971 shares ahead against 856 declining shares on the BSE(Bombay Stock Exchange).

Adani Ports & Tata Motors topped buying list on Sensex, went up 2.7 per-cent each followed by  Coal India, SBI, L&T and BHEL with over a percent gain. HDFC, TCS, HUL, NTPC & GAIL were losers.

Sensex Started Positive, ICICI Bank, Coal India, Infosys, Bajaj Auto Gainers 24 Dec, 2015

Today, The S&P BSE Sensex started on a positive note on the last trading day of the week. The market will remain shut on Friday due to a Christmas holiday.

The rally in the index was led by gains in ICICI Bank, Coal India, Infosys, Bajaj Auto, HUL, RIL and Tata Motors.

The Nifty-50 was trading comfortably above its critical psychological support level of 7,850, supported by gains in metal, power, oil & gas, capital goods stocks.

Other market updates :
Japan's Nikkei were trading lower by 0.1 per-cent while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was trading higher by 0.5 per cent and the South Korean Kospi was flat, while mainland China's Shanghai Composite was down 1.3 per-cent.
